Citing your work: Works Cited/ Bibliography

What is a Works Cited?

MLA Style uses a works cited list at the end of a paper or project. This is to list all of the sources mentioned in the body of your work and gives information for readers to access the material that you used for your research.

Chicago Manual of Style uses a bibliography or a reference list depending on the in-text citation format you used.

Use a bibliography if you used the footnote or endnote format in your paper or project.

Use a reference list if you used the author-date format in your paper or project.
